Naming sessions

When you generate names, Purrname stores the four choices you submit, a random share code, reroll count, and—if selected—the winning name. This lets a shared link recreate the result. A naming session is not connected to an account.

Technical logs

The server and hosting provider may retain short-lived security and operational logs such as IP address, request path, browser information, and timestamps. These are used to keep the service reliable and investigate abuse.

Payments

Optional purchases are processed by Paddle, which acts as merchant of record. Paddle collects the payment, billing, and tax information needed to complete a transaction. Purrname receives transaction status and limited purchase metadata through signed webhooks; card details never reach Purrname’s server.

Cookies and analytics

The current generator does not require an account cookie. If privacy-respecting audience measurement is introduced, this notice and any legally required consent controls will be updated before collection begins.

Retention and requests

Naming sessions may be removed after they are no longer useful for sharing. Payment records are retained as required for accounting, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. To ask about or delete data you can identify with a share code, email privacy@purrname.com.
